TraceGuard

Privacy

TraceGuard has no account, no server, no analytics and no advertising. It does not track you.

What stays on your phone

Bluetooth sightings, the trackers it recognised, its judgements, and (only if you turn it on) place history. All of it is in the app's own storage until you export or erase it.

The one thing that can leave your phone

Independent timestamps are optional and need two taps. When you use one, TraceGuard sends a 32-byte fingerprint (SHA-256) of an exported record to a public timestamp authority. The fingerprint holds no sightings, places or names. The authority can see your IP address and the time of the request.

Exports

Evidence reports and room records are created only when you ask, and shared only where you send them. Reports may contain places and times, so share them carefully.

Permissions we ask for

Bluetooth (to listen), location (only for place history), notifications, and the camera and microphone only for the optional lens, infrared and ultrasonic checks, which are processed on the phone.
